Day 01 : 1 Night  -Pinnawala

After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya – en route take a short break at Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. At this orphanage you will find elephants of all ages that have been abandoned and the unique feature is that you feed the baby elephants with milk bottles during the feeding times. After lunch visit the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya which tells a tale of power, intrigue and tragedy.

Day 02 : Sigirya – 1 Night  Hotel Sigiriya or Kandalama.

 

Leave for Sigiriya,a 650 feet high rock fortress in the sky, a masterpiece of construction, artistry & irrigation. A world Heritage Site (5 th Century AD). The world famous fresco paintings of Heavenly maidens are housed in a cave. In the afternoon Take a jeep safari through the Kaudulla National Park , looking for elephants, deer, peacocks, boars, and many kinds of birds.

Day 03 : Polonnaruwa -1 Night Deer Park Hotel.

After breakfast you will visit the Sigiriya rock. This impressive monolith which rises 200 meters out of the jungle has been transformed in the 5th Century by king Kashyapa into a fortress and became his capital. Here you will see the frescoes of the Sigiriya Maidens.

In the afternoon you will drive to Polonnaruwa for the visit of the well preserved remains of the city which has been the capital in Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th Century. You will see the excavations: Temples, Dagobas, the royal palace, the royal library, ect.

 

Day 04 : Kandy -1 Night  Amaya hills or Earl Regency

After this you will reach, the old royal city of Kandy, beautifully nestled between green hills. In Kandy, you will visit the temple of the tooth relic, which is the holiest shrine in Sri Lanka, where the tooth relic of Lord Buddha is highly venerated.In the evening you’ll have the opportunity to see a dance performance, where you will see the famous Kandyan dances, as well as up-country and devil dances.

Day 05-06 : Nuwara Eliya 2 night. the grand hotel.

After breakfast leave to Nuwara Elliya. En route visit the tea plantation and tea factory to see the process of manufacturing tea, from plucking of the green leaves to packaging of final product. Also you can taste real Sri Lankan Tea. On the way you can see Ramboda water fall and so many waterfalls. Overnight stay at grand hotel in Nuwara Elliya.

Day 07 : Yala 1 Night. Lake Safari.  Yala Safari.

After breakfast you travel to Yala. En-route visit famous Ella gap and enjoy the most beautiful sceneries in the Sri Lanka highlands.In afternoon, explore the Yala national wildlife park. Yala is one of Sri Lanka ‘s premier eco tourism destinations, where you can watch closely Leopard, Elephants and unique varieties of Birds.

Day 08 : Unawatuna – 1 night – Villa thawthisa or Calamander Hotel.

After breakfast leave to Unawatuna. Leisure on the beach. Overnight stay at  Villa thawthisa or Calamander Hotel Hotel in Unawatuna.

Day 09-10
Beruwala  2 Night – the Palms Hotel.
